Dredging of phosphorus-enriched sediment layers

At a lake restoration in Sweden, thin layer sediment removal successfully removed a 5 cm phosphorus enriched top layer of sediment in lake Rålången. The sediment was leaking nutrients causing algal bloom, euthrophication and anoxia in the lake and waterways downstream. Now the sediment is removed and will be pelleted fertilizer.
