Marine services for 170kV power supply

This year, the Herøya industrial area received a new power supply of 170 kV via a river crossing carried out by directional drilling under Porsgrunnselva river. The cables were pulled through 5 pcs Ø225 PE pipes. It was these pipes that Steg Entrepenør pulled under the riverbed by directional drilling. Waens was  handling the 3.5 km of canalisation pipes on the fjord and in the river, and also established a silt curtain for the discharge/retraction point in the river.
